No One Really
Pros: OMG hardcore|
Cons: Likely to be extremely boring
What ever happened to the FFXII speed run?
Harder to work on while at work? ;-)
Seriously, this hasn't been worked on before, for some reason. I think it can be done in under 7 hours, and it just seems odd that it hasn't been done.
No judgement on the game itself, but it is actually kind of comical how unbalanced this pro and con are on my personal scale. It's like if the con were a lightning rod on top of the house, and the pro were a corpse rotting under the floorboards.
If people are more like me than like you, it's not odd at all that this hasn't been done.
The only thing about the game is that there don't seem to be any sequence breaks or really super interesting techniques to exploit. It would be about efficiently going through the game, which is not as interesting from a speed run standpoint.
But I understand not being hardcore. ;-)
Are you talking about the kind of thing like the 27-minute Dragon Warrior, where you are constantly saving state and resetting? Or a more normal thing where you figure out the best spots to level and the best weapons to buy, etc.?
A more normal thing. Speed runs are not "tool assisted", so it would actually be me playing.
A time attack of ps2 would be REAL boring... no encounters except for a few bosses, I think. o_O
It demands hard work. It can challenge your bland security. It's not cheap , this American Dream -- nor should it be.
85 PALGN By anticipating Final Fantasy XII as the greatest RPG ever made, there may be many harsh instances of disappointment.
